FAQs

What can I expect day of?

Arriving 15 minutes before your session will ensure as smooth a day as possible for everyone. Our goal is always to have fun because photos turn out best when we are being ourselves, so we want to make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoying themselves. The rest will take care of itself!

With groups, we will start with group photos and work towards individual photos throughout the session.

What happens if my child has a meltdown?

If your child has a meltdown – the first thing we do is we all take a breath. Photos for children can be stressful and more than likely they will have some tears during the session. I find that the art of distraction is the best tool. It’s not uncommon I let them wonder off and go find a stick or we play a game of tag. Sometimes just taking a break helps center everybody and then we can get back on track.

How do you handle children who are refusing to have their photo taken?

I find that the less pressure we put on the child to have his/her photo taken the better. In saying that, don’t be surprised if I encourage your child to take the big stick and play with it, or to dance to their favorite song.  I often will find that this is the perfect opportunity to get some unique single shots of the child. This is also the perfect transition into family photos – you may hear me say “Hey Henry! Can you go show your dad the stick?” it’s such a natural transition, for the child, that they don’t realize we’ve added mom and sister to the photo.

When will I see a preview of my session?

You will receive a five photo preview one week after your session. You will be able to find your session on Hannah Allison Photography Facebook page. Feel free to share the photos with all of your family and friends. Your previews will have our watermark logo on them, unlike on your final product.

When will I get my pictures?

You can expect your photos two to four weeks after your session. You will receive an online gallery, password protected, with a pin number to download your photos at full resolution. You may share your gallery with whomever you choose.

How do I print my photos?

You do not have to order your photo prints from us.  I highly recommend the website www.mpix.com to print! They do a wonderful job and have beautiful true color prints, are affordable, fast, and professional quality.
